Approaching environmental advocacy from the perspective of a Council, we here at the OEC work hard to collaborate and coordinate with partners as often as we can to accomplish our goals of healthier air, land and water. While individual issues frequently bring together natural partners, we strive to collaborate consistently with various coalitions year-round.
RE-AMP is an engaged and active network of nonprofits and foundations working on climate change and energy policy in an eight-state region, including Ohio, in the upper Midwest.
The organizations engaged in the RE-AMP network work together, through various strategies and tactics, to transform the upper Midwest energy sector into a model for clean, efficient and safe energy use.
All this work is done with a larger goal in mind: reduce the causes of climate change by 80% by the year 2030.
Ohio Environmental Council is proud to be part of RE-AMP and collaborate with other Ohio-based RE-AMP members, as well as regional partners on projects and campaigns that fall under one or more of RE-AMP’s working groups:
- Clean Energy
- Clean Up Coal
- Energy Efficiency
- Climate Change Solutions
Each of these working groups are dedicated to developing solutions to environmental and energy problems common to the Midwest, nation, and the world.

Ohio Coalition for Combined Heat & Power
The Ohio Coalition for Combined Heat and Power was formed over time as a volunteer coalition of business, policy, academic and environmental interests that is supporting and promoting CHP and WHR as effective, economical and environmentally sensible energy options for the State of Ohio.
The coalition includes representatives of large industrial users, environmental policy experts and advocates, technical experts and CHP/WHR project developers.
Find updates and materials from workshops and webinars at the coalition's website.
